Our wonderful yurt!

April 23rd was a very exciting day at Roydon Primary School, not only because it was St George's Day and the anniversary of Shakespeare's birth (and death), but because our yurt arrived!

Many of us helped to put it up. We had to learn how to tie special knots...

and a belt!

The 'roof' is amazing.

You could hear words like 'wow', 'superb', 'amazing', 'fabulous' and 'wonderful' all around our yurt.

It was a real team effort to finish the yurt, inside and out. We hope we remember how to take it down!

There's sure to be many Roydon yurt stories to come...

It looked easy to put to up. It looks fantastic. I bet you have fun telling stories inside the yurt. Will you be able to put it up again easily in September?

Well we're hoping that we will remember how to put it back up. We will probably have to look at the photographs. Maybe we should be practising those knots!

There are some super stories being told in the yurt, from our new story-telling chair. You can often hear some wonderful music as well. Look out for new photographs coming soon.
